Starting at Bode’s General Store – once known as Grants Mercantile, with roots back to 1890 when it served the community as a “general store, post office, stagecoach stop and jail” – bike past the town of Barranca and along the Rio Chama, an officially designated Wild and Scenic River with its headwaters in Colorado.
Santa Fe Mountain Adventures can set up a picnic lunch along the river or arrange for lunch near the Abiquiu Reservoir and Dam.
